SpaceNed understands the interests, opportunities, and challenges of its members as well as those of wider sector stakeholders. This position enables SpaceNed to act as a bridge between parties, aligning interests and creating synergies that strengthen the visibility, capabilities, and global presence of the Dutch space sector.
SpaceNed strengthens collaboration within the Dutch space sector by providing a platform where members connect, exchange knowledge, and develop partnerships. By bringing together industry, government, academia, and research institutes, SpaceNed helps build a cohesive and innovative national ecosystem. We facilitate the sharing of expertise, experience, and best practices through workshops, seminars, and expert sessions. Members gain access to relevant insights and practical knowledge that support innovation and growth.
In addition, SpaceNed promotes cross-sector collaboration by connecting the space sector with adjacent industries and innovation ecosystems. By encouraging multidisciplinary cooperation between companies, government bodies, regional authorities, and international organisations, we strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of the Dutch space sector.
SpaceNed supports its members in identifying and developing international business opportunities. As the Dutch space sector expands globally, we help organisations build connections with international partners, customers, governments, and networks.
We organise trade missions, networking events, and participation in leading international exhibitions. Together with the Netherlands Space Agency and partners, SpaceNed promotes the Dutch space sector. Through joint pavilions and international exhibitions, Dutch organisations are presented as innovative and reliable partners in the global space ecosystem. These activities allow members to showcase their expertise, explore new markets, and build strategic relationships worldwide.
SpaceNed also maintains strong relationships with leading space clusters and networks across Europe and beyond, including Germany, Belgium, and the United States, enabling cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives.
SpaceNed represents and promotes the interests of the Dutch space sector towards government, policymakers, media, and the public. As a strategic user and key funder of space activities, government plays an essential role in the sector’s development and long-term success.
SpaceNed acts as a collective voice for the industry by engaging with stakeholders at national, regional, and international levels. We communicate sector priorities, advocate for effective policies and investment, and contribute to shaping the future of the Dutch space ecosystem. In addition, SpaceNed highlights the achievements and innovations of its members through media relations, publications, events, and digital communication. This increases awareness of the sector’s contribution to economic growth, technological innovation, security, sustainability, and societal resilience.
